policy | access for all. |
1. Economic accessIf tuition is a barrier to your registration, please register anyway and just skip the payment part of the process. This policy is for you. We are intentionally flexible, and especially equitable in our application of sliding scale tuition.
We still do ask all who register to pay to a minimum tuition of $25; but we offer a huge amount of flexibility around when and how that minimum is paid – i.e. Payment plans are fine and we accept trades as a form of payment too. Please email us details of when and how you wish to pay the $25. You don't need to explain why you need to do so. |
2. Equitable accessWe are committed to upholding an equitable learning and sharing environment, as much as possible among diverse communities with disparate experiences, perspectives and interests.
We purposefully cultivate equitable space, as equity can often be a missing ingredient in space spaces, for many members of equity-seeking communities in the arts & culture sector. Where we fail to be fully responsible, we commit to being fully accountable – for as long as it takes to make things ok! |
3. Learning access■ Varied facilitation: Materials are delivered and examined through a range of learning styles and modes of exploration.
■ Equitable facilitation: Priority space given to those typically with less access to and space within shared spaces. ■ Experiential knowledge: Our Arts Equity Framework is a consolidation of 30 years of earned experience (i.e. learned on the front lines, from teh bottom-up, in practice) |
4. Venue accessibility**■ Accessible entry to the building, with elevator in building
■ Accessible Bathroom with a handrail but without an automatic door opener or door stop. ■ Gender-neutral Bathroom: Male-designated washroom on same floor as training venue. ■ Smudging: Will be confirmed before you have to ask. |
