THE FULL SPECTRUM

OF EQUITY & DIVERSITY IN THE ARTS

STAGE LEFT'S ARTS EQUITY LITERACY TRAINING IS SPECIFIC TO ALL EQUITY-SEEKING ARTS COMMUNITIES AND FULLY ATTENTIVE TO INDIVIDUAL, CULTURAL, AND SYSTEMIC EQUITY. THE CONTEXT WE PROVIDE IS BOTH CANADIAN-SPECIFIC AND ANCHORED IN THE REALITIES OF OUR OWN PROFESSIONAL ARTS ECOLOGY!
In addition to our Full Spectrum Foundational Arts Equity Literacy Intensives, Stage Left also offers cultural competencies training, collective/mass action organizing and mentorship for marginalized artists and collectives in resistance to cultural imposition and colonial norms in Canada's professional arts & culture sector.

Access statement

Stage Left respects the lands we operate on as the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (including the Siksika, Piikani and Kanai Nations), Ĩyãħé Nakoda (Bearspaw, Chiniki and Wesley) First Nations and Tsuuti'na Nations. Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

As guests in Treaty 7 we work daily to uphold good relations and advocate for the
Truth & Reconciliation Calls to Action.
We regret that we lack the resources to provide website accessibility, especially as we are a company of artists who all live with some form of impairment (which is why we lack the resources we need!).

We apologize for the barrier this creates for so many, and will attend to it when we finally figure out how to remedy the
 digital divide.
